Blog 3: What's your favourite movie or TV show?
I think my favourite TV show must be Breaking Bad. I'm not very good at keeping up with this kind of things but I really liked this one. I started watching it three years ago in summer vacations one day I was bored and got very addicted inmediately.
This show, created by Vince Gilligan, is about Walter White (performed by Bryan Cranston, better known as Malcolm dad at Malcolm in the middle), a nice chemistry teacher who was diagnosed with lung cancer. As he had a teenager son, a pregnant wife and money problems, he starts selling crystal meth with Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), who was once his student and a drug addict at that time, to finance all the health costs. The thing is, the drug they were selling was the best and little by little, they start making enemies with other narcs.
What I like about this TV show the most is the metamorphosis that the characters suffer as they get more into this heavy environment of drugs, the details that are shown like the process when Walter and Jesse are cooking the crystal meth, the music chosen and all this mexican and latino thing that let us get more into the plot. Oh, and it can make you both laugh or suffer a lot.
Great Choice Javiera. As a matter of fact, It is true that it has lots of very dark humorous moments (alongside more horrific ones). I think that the ambivalence in this show is what makes it so attractive.
ResponderEliminarHi Javiera, I also was adicted of Breaking Bad!, I noticed the same thing respect the methamorphosis of the protagonist (Walter White to Heisenberg... something like this) and I like so much this character.

ResponderEliminarBreaking Bad was a phenomenom ! I also watched it like three years ago in a summer hahaha and I also got very addicted... was the first and only one show tv I saw still this year.
