A country I would like to visit

If I had enough money, I would love to go to France and staying a couple of years. Once I dreamed that I was living there, at a very weird house with windows that looked to the sky, wich was full of strange colors that I can't remember now. Maybe it's because some movies I seen, like Delicatessen or Amélie that I pictured this country like that.

I actually don't know much of this country, but the things I like by the little I know is the architecture wich is kind of romantic, the art and fashion movements and the language wich I would love to learn by speaking it in real situations.
I don't like making plans that much but if I could go and staying some time to study, work and making new relationships, I would definitely do it. I'm thinking I'd choose Paris as a city (because I don't  know any other city, shame on me) but I'd like to stay at a simple place not so close to the tourist spots (such as the Eiffel Tower).
Anyway, I'll never know until I get the opportunity of going and knowing the place in real life!
